What are REITs (Real Estate Investment Trust)?
14/05/2025
REITs (Real Estate Investiment Trust) are companies that own or finance properties that typically generate income. REITs allow anyone to invest in large-scale property portfolios in the same way that investors can invest in various sectors, through the purchase of shares listed on the stock exchange. If the investors opt for REIT, they can obtain greater liquidity than if they were to invest directly in physical properties. This type of asset is similar to real estate funds in Brazil.
